摘 要:
基督宗教在近代中国经历了一个挑战、适应与融合的过程。著名历史学家章开沅先生自20世纪80年代中期起，开始涉足中国基督宗教史研究，不仅个人取得了举世瞩目的成就，而且从理论与方法上对该领域的研究发挥了一定的引导与推动作用。章氏将中国基督宗教史置于跨文化对话的宏阅视域，以现代化理念解读宗教传播的神学内核与价值取向，理性还原基督宗教在近代中国传播与根植的艰难进程。[著者文摘]

Challenge, Adaptation and Integration： A History of Christianity in Modern China --On Mr Zhang Kai-yuan＇s Research on the History of Christianity in China

Abstract:
Christianity has undergone a process of challenge;adaptation and integration in modern China. Since the mid-1980＇s, Mr Zhang Kai-yuan, a famous historian, has begun a research on the history of Christianity in China. He has not only gained outstanding achievements, but also played a leading and promoting role in formulating theories and methods of the field. Mr Zhang views the history of Christianity in China as a cross-cultural dialogue,he illustrates the theological essence and values of religious spread in concepts of modernization,and rationally restores the original condition of the difficult process of Christianity＇s spread and establishment in modern China rationally. This paper offers some discus, sions and analyses on Mr Zhang Kai-yuan＇s academic thoughts on the history of China＇s Christian universities, domestic and foreign Christian educators, and the indigenization of Christianity in China.[著者文摘]
