Abstract:
Because of the skin effect and proximity effect, the ac losses in conductor are greater than dc losses in conductor. The ac losses in conductor and eddy current losses in sheath, for different laying modes and different grounding modes of cables are calculated by the Finite Element Method (FEM). By analyzing the calculation resuits, the relation among ac losses in conductor and loops as well as distance of cables are obtained. When the loops of cable bundles increase, the ac losses in conductor will increase too. When the distance of cables decreases, the ac losses in conductor will increase. The relation among eddy current losses in sheath and loops, distance of cables are obtained. When the loops of cables increase, the eddy current losses in sheath will increase. The eddy current losses in sheath are relevant to the distance of cables and the bonding mode. When the sheaths are bonded at only one end, the eddy current losses in sheath will decrease with the increase of the distance of cables. When the sheaths are bonded at both ends, the eddy current losses in sheath will increase with the increase of the distance of cables.[著者文摘]
