Abstract:
Politeness theory is one of most heated topics in pragmatics in recent years. It is possible to treat politeness as a fixed concept, as in the idea of polite social behavior, or etiquette, within a culture. The essay mainly discusses the making of disagreements, using Brown Levinson＇s Politeness theory as guideline.[著者文摘]
