Statistical Analysis on Current Status of Forest Fire in Russian Federation

Abstract:
In Russian Federation, forest fire occurred frequently and the loss was severe every year. This paper counted the multi - phase total number and area forest burned in Russian Federation in 1950 ～ 2000 and analyzed in detail the situation of forest fire in 1990～ 2003. The classifications of forest fire rating system, hazard used to improve forest, fire behavlours, organization framework of forest fire prevention in Russian Federation were reviewed, and the current status of the fire researches and the measares improving fire management in Russian Federation were introduced.
