Abstract:
Expanding populations and steady economic growth will continue to increase world energy demand. Wood fuel pellets provide an alternative and cost stable biomass energy and is used widely throughout North America and Europe. Pellets can be made from renewable materials such as agricultural straws, residues from wood or bamboo product manufacturing, and recycled wood. This paper reviews the main characteristics, applications, and manufacturing technology of wood fuel pellets. It also discusses current product developments and future trends in the fuel pellet industry. Finally, it describes the prospect and provides guidance for developing a successful biomass fuel pellet industry in China.[著者文摘]
