基于相位共轭的动态体全息衍射特性的实时非破坏性测量

摘  要:

基于相位共轭技术,提出了一种动态体全息衍射特性的实时测量方法.在光学系统设计中,通过调整使得物光和参考光较强,而与参考光共轭的再现光非常弱(约为参考光的1/1 000),借助非常微弱的共轭再现光实现了动态体全息的非破坏性实时测量.三束光的强度和偏振态可通过1/4波片、偏振片和衰减片进行调节和组合,可记录光强调制型或偏振态调制型体全息.本方法适合于光致折射率变化和光致变色材料体全息的测量.[著者文摘]

引言体全息或体光栅以其紧凑性、高密度性和快速并行访问等特性在信息海量存储、衍射光学和集成光学领域有着巨大的潜力[】。].两束偏振态平行的物光和参考光相干辐照光敏材料时,会产生光强度调制的体全息;而当两束偏振态正交的物光和参考光相干辐照光敏材料时,它们干涉合成光的光强分布是均匀的,但偏振态是调制的,从而会引起材料的光致各向异性,并记录下具有偏振态调制的体全息.体全息最显著的特点是它的时间和空间动态特性[5 ],即:物光和参考光记录全息光栅的同时又被实时实地的光栅自衍射,形成干涉光场的重新分布,该光场模式又会参与后继光栅的记录.在全息读出时,读出光和衍射光也会干涉而再次记录光栅.这种动态过程同时包括了耦合光束之问的能量相互转移和位相的相对变化.为了反映动态体全息光栅的强弱,传统的办法是在体全息记录过程中,每隔一定的时问问隔,挡住物光只让参考光通过全息记录介质,从而测得衍射效率[8。.根据体全息光栅的衍射效率公式[1 可计算光栅的折射率调制度.许多测量体......

Abstract:

Based on the phase conjugate technique, a real-time measurement technique was proposed to test the diffraction of the dynamic volume holograms. In the optical system, the object wave and the reference wave are adjusted much stronger than the probe beam propagating along the counter-direction of the reference wave (this phase-conjugate probe beam is about 1/1 000 of the reference beam). Thus the realtime and non-destructive testing of the dynamic holograms can be obtained by measuring the phase- conjugate wave of the object wave, which overcomes the readout erasing effect compared to the conventional technique by directly reading holograms with the reference beam via blocking object beam from time to time. Since the intensity and the polarization of each beam Can be adjusted and combined among them by using the quarter-wave plate, polarizer and attenuator, the intensity-modulation or polarization-modulation volume hologram can respectively be recorded and tested. S. degree in Optics from Physics Department of Northwest University in 2000 and the Ph. D. degree in Optical Engineering from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004. He joined the State Key Laboratory of Transient Optics and Photonics,Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he is now an associate professor. His research interests are optical holography, nonlinear optics, special fiber and applications, optoelectronics and photonics.
