摘 要:
象征主义是海明威作品的重要艺术风格,《永别了,武器》则淋漓尽致地表现了海明威的这一写作手法。这本书中天（weather）,地（landscape）,人（emblematic people）的描写都具有深刻的象征意义。书中,天气,景物仍是小说不可或缺的自然环境的一部分,但却不再是单纯的自然现象,而是作为暗示主人公遭遇的象征,某些看似轻描淡写的人物却也都在影响着主人公的命运,成为太阳用于照不到的隐形精神雕像。[著者文摘]

The Symbolism in A Farewell to Arms by Hemingway

Abstract:
Symbolism is an important writing style of Hemingway, and it is very apparent in the description of every part of A Farewell to Arms. Among the many, which might be mentioned, we shall focus on the weather, the landscape and the emblematic people. Nature serves as a basic structure for the plot and the actions that occur. It also emerges as a source of symbols that replace human feelings. Some relevant people stands for the spirit which dominates Henry＇ s life.[著者文摘]
