在交通事故现场存在着大量的相关痕迹，包括车体痕迹、人体痕迹、路面痕迹以及肇事者潜在的心理痕迹，而且利用价值高，常常能直接或间接的反映事故的原因、事故发生的过程，还可以为认定肇事车辆、推定事故责任提供有力的依据，从而为交通事故鉴定工作带来很大帮助。[著者文摘]
