摘 要:
遗产区域是美国国内针对大尺度文化景观保护的一种较新的方法。该方法重视人与土地之间的互动关系。强调通过对地方历史文化、自然和游憩资源的综合保护与利用。实现遗产保护、经济发展、重建区域身份、提供游憩机会等多重目标。从美国历史保护运动的发展背景出发。回顾了遗产区域的发展历程，从定义、特征与分类三个方面评述了其概念内涵，并对遗产区域保护中的几个关键问题进行了讨论。最后针对遗产区域保护方法在中国的发展与应用提出了相关建议。[著者文摘]

Heritage Area： A New Approach for the Preservation of Large-scale Cultural Landscape

Abstract:
Heritage area is a new approach for the preservation of large scale cultural landscape. It emphasizes the relationship between human being and land, aims to urotect natural and cultural heritage, develops economy, rebuilds regional identity, and provides recreational opportunities through the integration conservation and utilization. The evolution lxocess of heritage preservation of the United States can be divided into three periods： historic building, historic district and town, and cultural landscape. The concept of heritage area has been developed based on the development of the preservation of huge scale cultural hndscape. Heritage areas are special cultural landscape embodying the harmony of human heing and nature, and are the common products of them. In the Unitod States, a heritage can also he calhd heritage corridor, urban cultural park, heritage park, partnership park, heritage partnership or heritage district etc. The definitage heritage area contains three main features： flexible scales and complex constituents, multiple values and integrated preservation approaches based on a partnerships. Heritage areas can include historic transportation corriders, historic industrial districts and traditional vernacular landscape and some ancient battlefields etc. This article then discussed some major problems in application： ① the procedure and standards for the designation of a National Heritage Area; ②the definition of the boundary of a heritage area;③ the main content of a management plan. In the end, the author also provided some suggestions for the appiication of heritage area idea in China, which are strengthening the understanding of the idea of heritage area via education; exploring suitable mechanism for the preservation of large scale caltural heritage; advoeating interdisciplinary researches to solve diverse complex problems in heritage areas.[著者文摘]
