俄裔美籍作家纳博科夫的文学创作处于现代主义向后现代主义转型的时期,他独特的艺术创作观及其在作品中的深刻揭示有效地推动了这一转型。纳博科夫根据自己早期俄文小说改写的作品《绝望》是一部精心策划的小说,以表面引人入胜的故事传达了他对艺术创作的理解,反映了纳博科夫作为小说家对艺术创作的思考、探索和实践。本文从《绝望》文本出发,详细论证这部小说对纳博科夫的艺术创作观,包括艺术创作的虚构性本质、原创性特点及纯洁性目的等观点的阐释。[著者文摘]

On Nabokov' s Views on Artistic Creation as Illustrated in Despair

Abstract:
Vladimir Nabokov' s novels are mainly written during the transitional period from modernism to postmodernism. His special views on artistic creation and their clear and vivid reflection in his novels efficiently promote this literary transition. Despair, a novel by Nabokov based on his early Russian story and revised by himself, is delicately designed for some literary and artistic purposes. It reads like an interesting story, however, it displays the writer' s thinking and practicing in exploring the essence, the feature and the purpose of artistic creation. This paper, by carefully examining Despair, aims to reveal Nabokov' s views on artistic creation, namely, his understanding of fictionalization, originality and purity of artistic creation as illustrated in Despair.[著者文摘]
