Abstract:
The word Guizi(鬼子) originally meant the ghost's son, and it was applied as the general noun meant the ghost, and extended to call a person as the scolded word or the scorned word and the trick word. After Qing(清) dynasty, it was applied to scornfully call the foreigners, especially demoted the foreign invaders; since Anti-Japanese War, it was applied to call Japanese invaders.
