Abstract:
In Mencius' debate on standard rules and their weighing and changing, there are two kinds of wisdom of weighing and changing, one of which is radical, and the other of which is clement. By wisdom of radical weighing and changing it's meant we take negative actions when the rules are not conformed with human nature, whereas by wisdom of clement weighing and changing it's meant we take positive actions when anyone else doesn' t obey the rules rationally made. The cost of radical weighing and changing may be low while that of clement weighing and'changing may be high. An interpretation of standard rules and their weighing and changing in life philosophy can provide some life wisdom for modem people.[著者文摘]
