摘 要:
在中国近代城市发展史中，无锡的城市发展具有代表性意义。其中，自开商埠活动是无锡近代城市经济发展中的典型事件，开埠一定程度上促进了该区域经济的发展，并奠定了现代化的基础。但是政治动荡、战争摧残以及无锡传统文化等因素的影响，开埠有首无尾，难逃大部分自开商埠无疾而终的命运，给后人留下了深刻启示。[著者文摘]

Abstract:
In the modem evolution history of Chinese cities, Wuxi boasted of natural economic basis and strong terms of industry and commerce. Its evolutive route and mode were representative. The initial activity of opening market was to meet thr needs of the economic development of Wuxi city, but it had no progress, ended with no result. The opening could not escape the dooms that all the ports opened voluntarily by China endured. Obviously, it also had little effect on the development of Wuxi city.[著者文摘]
