摘 要:
乔姆斯基认为句子应按语段分阶段推导生成。语段的强弱将影响推导的流程。由强语段vP构成的感叹句与由弱语段vP构成的感叹句的推导略有差别。根据Rizzi的CP分裂假说，wh-成分在感叹句中移入SPEC-Force，以删除中心语Force的边缘特征。Force不具时态特征，不允许助动词移位，也不允许获得时态特征的wh-成分移入其标志语位。[著者文摘]

CP Split Hypothesis and a Phase-based Account of English Exclamatives

Abstract:
Recently, Chomsky published a few articles on derivation by phase, homing that a clause is derived phase by phase. Strong and weak phases have different effect on the flow of derivation. This being so, there is some slight difference regarding the derivation of exclamtives with a strong phase vP and exclamatives with a weak one. According to Rizzi＇s Split CP Hypothesis, wh-element moves into SPEC-force in exclamatives to delete the edge feature on Force. Since Force bears no tense feature, it does not involve auxiliary movement and it also does not allow a wh-element with an acquired tense feature to move into its specifier position.[著者文摘]
