摘 要:
徐松是晚清地学巨子，代表作是《西域水道记》。该书将西域地区的自然地理与人文地理以河流水系为脉络串联起来，具有很高的学术价值。更可贵的是，该书是建立在作者实地调查的基础之上的著述，与乾嘉时期，只从事史料考据的研究迥然不同，而且又在19世纪末20世纪初外国探险家对中国西部进行探险之前，意义重大。[著者文摘]

Abstract:
Xu Song was a great geographer in later Qing Dynasty. Xi Yu Water Way was one of his works on the Western Regions. It connected physical geography and humanistic geography in a natural river system on the Western Regions. It had high academic values. Deserving praise, Xu Song based on fieldwork different from only doing textual researching in historical materials in Qianjia Times, and it was significant that it was published before the exploration of foreign explorers to west area of China in the late 19th and early 20th century.[著者文摘]
