Engineering Sustainability aims to provide a forum for sharing the latest thinking from research and practice primarily in the civil engineering and infrastructure disciplines that include structural, material, construction, building, geotechnical, transportation, and environmental engineering and others, and to present the 'how to' of engineering a sustainable future. The journal features refereed papers and shorter articles relating to the pursuit and implementation of sustainability principles in civil engineering and infrastructure development, with the targeted audience including not only researchers and students, but also decision-makers and practitioners. New knowledge about and solutions for addressing the tensions between and integration of social, economic and environmental considerations are of particular relevance. Methodologies for assessing sustainability and its social, political, technical and educational issues are also encouraged.
