Lipids, founded in 1966, is a journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society that publishes high-quality peer-reviewed full-length research articles, rapid communications, and invited reviews focusing on lipid research. The main feature of all manuscripts published in Lipids is that they extend knowledge in lipid science and that lipid-related findings are the study's primary outcome. Manuscripts that report the findings of studies reporting novel compositions or demonstrating novel mechanisms in lipid biochemistry, metabolism, or functionality are particularly welcome. Lipids will also consider papers demonstrating novel methods or applying established techniques in lipid research. Overall, the primary criterion for acceptance for publication in Lipids is that the study applies robust, up-to-date methods of investigation to increase knowledge and understanding in the field of lipid research.
