OTA International is an open access, orthopaedic trauma journal published on behalf of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA). The journal aims are to further knowledge, foster innovation, support research and education and promote quality and good clinical practice in the field of orthopaedic trauma within a global setting. Contributions are welcome from surgeons and trauma clinicians, educators and researchers in the following areas: all sub-specialty areas of Orthopaedic trauma, basic science and biomechanics, quality and safety systems, population health, and health policy and economics relevant to orthopaedic trauma. The journal will also publish peer-reviewed articles and referred abstracts arising out of the activities of the OTA, its various educational activities and conjoint meetings held with other organizations, subject to agreement. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous reviewing by independent reviewers.
