The Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education (JMTE) is an international journal dedicated to advancing global research on the education and professional development of mathematics teachers, as well as on the broader context of mathematics teaching. Its international focus emphasises the importance of cultural, social and institutional contexts in shaping the learning of mathematics teachers and, by extension, the mathematics learning of their students. This emphasis acknowledges that these diverse contexts also influence researchers and their research into mathematics teacher education.
