«Asia Minor» is an international journal dedicated to the archaeology of Turkey. The journal aims to provide a space for discussion on the many archaeological approaches to the multifaceted cultures of ancient Anatolia. Papers on the pre-classical cultures and the Greek colonial world, the Hellenistic kingdoms, the Roman empire and its transformation in the Byzantine era, up until the Seljuq conquest, are welcome. This approach serves to showcase all of the cultures that have unfolded across this extensive and highly variegated region, characterised by a dense network of connections between the Mediterranean, the Near East and Central Asia. Of great interest for the journal therefore are the signs of continuity, the dynamics of transformation, the interactions between the various regional and cultural entities that constitute the wealth of ancient Turkey. In this scenario, «Asia Minor» sheds light on the composite and stratified nature of the Anatolian landscapes and the local communities.
