Informationen Deutsch als Fremdsprache (Info DaF) is one of the leading journals for teachers and scholars of German as a Foreign Language and is edited by the Fachverband Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache (FaDaF) and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). The journal was founded in 1973 at a time when the discipline was still in its early days. Since then, DaF has become an institutionally-established field in its own right.
