Powders (ISSN: 2674-0516), an international open access journal, publishes peer-reviewed papers containing research on science and engineering to synthesize, handle, process, and characterize powders, powder systems, and particulate bodies in general. The size of systems will be broad, ranging from nanoparticles to granules, and the powders may be in air, liquids, or in solid composites. Powder technology is founded on the fundamentals, developments, and advances in a variety of fields, including chemical engineering, material science, pharmaceuticals, powder metallurgy, environmental technology, energy technology, nanotechnology, interface science, colloid science, aerosol science, etc. Full experimental details must be provided so that results can be reproduced; likewise, for studies involving modeling or simulation, full details and equation sets must be provided. Therefore, there are no restrictions on the maximum length of papers; however, we expect reviews to provide new insights into the field rather than simply list available information from the literature. These could be new interpretations of existing data or the identification of areas of particular interest for further study. The journal focuses on publishing Articles and Reviews, but other article types will also be considered.
